A LOGAN mother has revealed she felt numb after her $5 Monopoly Scratch-Its ticket won her $100,000 on Monday, May 20.
The anonymous winner said her daughter bought the scratchie as a Mother's Day present.
"I didn't actually scratch it on Mother's Day but when i did scratch it a couple of days later I really didn't think I'd won anything," she said.
"But when I took it into the newsagency they told me that I better head into the Golden Casket office.
"It was the best Mother's Day present I've ever received, that's for sure."
The winning ticket was purchased from Waterford Plaza News.
Owner Fanny Christian said it was always a thrill to see local people win massive prizes.
"We're so excited to hear we've sold this winning Instant Scratch-Its ticket and have really changed her life," she said.
"We've sold a few top prize winning tickets at our outlet over the years and it's always such a thrill."
The winning mother said she was still mulling over how to spend the money.
"I'm going overseas soon so it will certainly come in handy for my holiday," she said.
"Maybe I'll share a little with the daughter who gave it to me."
There were 155 Instant Scratch-Its top prize winners who took home more than $14.26 million in Australia last year.
It has been a lucky year for Logan residents.
An Eagleby resident won $250,000 Super 66 lotto draw and a Logan Village resident won a $500,000 Gold Lotto prize in April.
