A STRONG bowling performance from Sam Matthews all season was enough to get him Jimboomba Bushrangers' player of the year.
Matthews took 39 wickets at 10.22 in a solid season with the ball.
He and the other standouts of the season were rewarded at the club's presentation night at the Veresdale Hotel on Friday.

President Rodney Teese said Matthews took the most wickets in the Logan District Cricket Association.
He picked up the senior bowling average and aggregate award, and most club wickets overall.
"He bowls a heavy ball," Teese said.
"The ball comes onto you quicker than you think."
Matthews started the season as a first-change bowler.
"If the opening bowlers were struggling, he would come on, take wickets and bowl tight," Teese said.
Changing to the new ball was a revelation, and Matthews lifted to the next level.
His best performance of the season was against Yarrabilba Canetoads on February 27.
Matthews took 5-24 from eight overs at Glenlogan Park.
Matthews also won most improved from last season.
"He's had a cracker of a season," Teese said.
Tom Jellie and Owen Maguire tied for most catches, with 13 each.
Brett Hayward came away with the five catches in an innings award.
Shannon White scored the most club runs, with 486.
Phil Bourke's monster 102.5 was the club's highest batting average, and the best individual innings was Kim Watson's 189 not out against Greenbank.
Graham Clark's 7-4 against Springwood was the best individual bowling performance.
