Munruben is a step closer to having a 24-hour ambulance station for faster response to emergencies.
A new station under construction at the corner of the Mount Lindesay Highway and Chambers Flat Road is powering ahead.
The roof is on and the concrete pour of the landing and turning area at the front of the station at the $4 million site has taken place.
Almost 20 trucks per day were bringing concrete in at the height of the pour.
It is expected the building will be complete next year.
Combined with a new station being built at Yarrabilba, the Munruben station will employ 30 staff.
Three ambulances will be based at each station.
The Yarrabilba station is expected to be finished this year.
They will complement the Jimboomba and Hillcrest stations.
"This is a real benefit for the locals, because it will mean we will have our own ambulance stationed here, 24 hours," Mr Power said.
Community pressure paved the way for the stations last year.
Campaigners included Logan Village nurse Theresa Bott, who had a choking scare with then six-month-old son Thomas.
Ms Bott said she panicked when she realised how long it would take paramedics to get to Logan Village from the nearest station at Jimboomba.
The new stations will also help patients like the 67-year-old Flagstone man who waited two-and-a-half hours for an ambulance after breaking a hip in 2018.
The Red Cedar Crescent man lay under an umbrella in the heat after falling while putting the bin out.
Nearby residents gave the man some ice to suck on while he waited for paramedics to arrive.
