AT 20 years old, Jacob Heremaia is the youngest councillor in Queensland after winning a seat in the recent election.
He is Logan City's youngest councillor after a landslide win in the local election.
He faces a budget of $972 million and one of the largest local governments in Australia.
The new Logan City Council will be sworn in this morning where mayor Darren Power is set to take the helm.
Local politics in Logan has had a big shake up after the entire council was sacked after charges from the Crime and Corruption Commission.
Running on a platform of integrity and trust, Mr Heremaia said that "It's time for our city council to turn a new leaf. I'm proud to represent my community."
