THE Jimboomba Gymnastics club was showered with accolades at the Gymnastics Queensland 2018 Awards Ceremony on Saturday, January 12.
Head coach Callie Wall said the club put Jimboomba on the map by winning the Club Promotion and Community Engagement award and Staff Engagement and Mentoring award.
“We were also finalists in the Club Facility Development award due to the amazing upgrades of equipment our club has seen this year,” Ms Wall said.
The Jimboomba Gymnastics Club competed against various clubs across the state for the awards.
Ms Wall said the recognition was a fantastic achievement for the club made possible with help from the volunteer committee, gymnasts, parents and coaching team.
“After successfully having gymnasts compete at the 2018 Queensland State Championships in September, the awards certainly ended the club’s year on a high and we look forwards to bigger and better things in 2019,” she said.
Mia Pascoe, Erin Saxelby, Erika Duncan, Taryn Seymour and Daniela Novak were the five Jimboomba gymnasts who competed at the Queensland State Championships in September, 2018.
