Munruben’s Chaz Mostert has continued to taste success in the Asian Le Mans series.
Mostert finished in second place at the four hour round 2 at Fuji in Japan on December 3 after beginning practice and qualifying on December 1.
Mostert’s success in Japan comes after a fifth placed finish in Macau in November and a first placed finish in Zhuhai in China in October.
Mostert is racing in the Asian Le Mans Series for AAI Motorsport and BMW Motorsport in a BMW M6 GT3.
Mostert was unlucky not to grab first place in Fuji after starting in pole position only to have a pit stop penalty incurred by his teammate result in a runner-up finish.

Mostert said he enjoyed racing on the Fuji track.
“It was an amazing experience, the race didn’t go to plan with a too short pit stop but still grabbed second,” he said.
“Overall it was awesome to tick another amazing track off the bucket list.”
Mostert avoided a 12 car crash in Macau to finish fifth in November.
Starting at the back of a 20 car qualifying race, the former Beaudesert High School student was able to come to stop before being caught up in a 12 car pile-up in front of him.
Avoiding the crash meant he was one of eight drivers lining up when the race restarted an hour later where he finished fifth.
Mostert was in fourth for a period of the main race but a touch with the wall dropped him back a position.
Mostert said the Macau race meet was a good chance for him to continue to improve.
“Obviosuly a lot of cars were involved in the accident and crashed out, i was very lucky ti stay out of the drama,” he said.
“It was good that I had some race laps, I feel I’m making improvment out there every lap.
“Overall I’m super happy.
It was my first race on this circuit and only my third in a GT3 car, I am completly satisfied and hope I get the chance to come back.”
The Asian Le Mans series will now move to Buriran in Thailand for its third round on January 11-13 where Mostert is again scheduled to get behind the wheel of a BMW.
