IT has been a bad week weather-wise for all types of angling with only the most dedicated getting a feed. The river has plenty of luderick and bream around the breakwalls with the bream biting on mullet pieces and the luderick taking weed during the day and live yabbies at night. Some small school mulloway have been caught from the end of the sea wall on soft plastics and herring baits. Tailor have been spun and caught on bait mainly from the northern end of Crowdy beach. Crowdy boat harbour has produced good catches of bream when the seas have been up. Prawns, cooked prawns and yabbies are the best baits. The rain should abate by the weekend and some decent conditions will prevail.
