Australian baseball stars Travis Bazzana and Curtis Mead have been in the thick of the action again on the sport's biggest stage.
Bazzana registered two runs as his Cleveland Guardians beat Miami and Curtis Mead hit a home run and drove in another as he tried to help his Washington Nationals beat the Yankees in Major League Baseball.
Bazzana was walked in the first at-bat of the game against the Marlins in Miami on Sunday (Monday AEST), stole second, then scored when Brayan Rocchio singled to right.

The 23-year-old from Sydney, and soon-to-be MLB All Star, was then hit by a pitch in the 7th, and scored later that inning to make it 4-1 Guardians.
He struck out swinging in the next inning at his last at bat for the contest, as the Guardians went on to improve to 51-46 for the season.
In Washington, South Australia's Curtis Mead continued his strong form against the Yankees and came into the game on Sunday as a pinch-hitter in the sixth inning, and homered over centre field to tie the game at 2-2.
The 25-year-old remained in the game but couldn't produce many more fireworks to help his side beat the Yankees, who went on to win 5-3 and improve to 54-42 and be within sight of Tampa Bay in the AL East.
Mead's performance came a day after he was again one of Washington's main source of offence as he had two hits and one run in their 4-2 loss against the same side.
Washington are eight games behind the the Atlanta Braves in the NL East and are 48-49 overall.

Both sides have a break until Friday (Saturday AEST) because of the All Star game on Wednesday (Thursday AEST), and wider festivities.
Bazzana has become the fourth Australian to be named an MLB All Star, with the Guardians' rookie second baseman set to join Dave Nilsson (1999) and relievers Grant Balfour (2013) and Liam Hendricks (2019, 2021, 2022) in taking part in the showpiece event.
When MLB action resumes, the Guardians open a three-game home series against Pittsburgh on Friday. The Nationals go on the road to face the Athletics.
