Nominations will soon open for Logan's Safe City Awards, with Logan City Council encouraging people to nominate anyone who has contributed to the city's safety.
Nominations will open on Monday, August 15 to honour any individual, community group, business or program that has helped make Logan safe and welcoming.
City Lifestyle Chair Councillor Laurie Koranski said the Council was keen to hear about people in the community who have made a difference.
"We want to acknowledge the individuals and groups who contribute to making Logan's neighbourhoods welcoming, inclusive and safe," she said.
Cr Koranski paid tribute to last year's award winner, Youth and Family Service (YFS) Chief Executive Officer Cath Bartolo, saying this year's winners had big shoes to fill.
Ms Bartolo was presented with the Stan Wells Award last year, which honours former Jimboomba Neighbourhood Watch area co-ordinator, the late Stan Wells.
Cr Koranski said Ms Bartolo's 30 years of devotion to the City of Logan included her contribution to community safety.
Nominations for the 2022 awards will close on Friday, September 9. Nominees and nominators will then be invited to an awards ceremony in October.
To obtain a nomination form, the Council has advised people to email SafeCity@logan.qld.gov.au or head online to the Council's website for more information.
