Mustangs fans were treated to the final triple-header at home for the 2022 season and players showcased exciting games for dedicated supporters at Chambers Flat.
Closing out their debut season at the reserve grade the women's team came out charging, with Oshanis Whakatau and Jade Wood earning Player of the Match plaudits for their strong performances.
It was a tight game for the women, with the first points being scored within five minutes of kick-off, although the Parkwood Sharks were not willing to go down without a fight.
The response was two unanswered tries, putting the Parkwood team on the front foot, although thanks to prolific try scorer Antonia Vito the scores were level at 10-all heading into half time.
The second half proved to be as tight a contest as the first, but by the time the final whistle blew the Mustangs were able to send their opposition packing 18-16.
The Division 3 men took to the field with a tough fight against the first-place Forest Lake JRLFC side looming over them.
Despite their opposition being relentless in attack the Mustangs men continued to defend their line, committing to every tackle and holding their heads high.

Unfortunately for the home side the opposition tries kept coming, although a try by Pacey Brookes ensured the Division 3 team did not leave the field empty-handed and they finished the game being beaten 78-4.
The Division 2 team had their sights set on securing a spot in the finals, as they came up against Souths Inala and despite a slow end to the first half finished on top.
Both teams made some strong plays with Ta'avale, Christian Talaimanu and Dan Brownbill breaking away and beating defenders at different points in the match.
Coach Gerard Adams said the 32-24 victory was well-earned, and upcoming matches were crucial as the team could finish 1st or 4th.
"The team continue to turn up for each other when it matters," Adams said.
"We don't let mistakes get to us and we have a great ability to reset and start playing footy again. I'm quite proud of the boys for that."
