During the first week of the recent school holidays, 19 Emmaus College Jimboomba students travelled to Mackay for Australia's largest rugby league carnival, the Confraternity Carnival.

The open rugby league team enjoyed some successes at the carnival, handily winning three of the six games they played, drawing one match and losing two matches by slim margins.
The representative team consisted of:

- Luke Atwell (Year 12)
- Jaxon Morgan (Year 11)
- Riley Winsor (Year 11)
- Caleb Talbot (Year 11)
- Jake Wilson (Year 12)
- Kash Talora (Year 12)
- Luke Bartczak (Year 12)
- Murray Hume (Year 11)
Emmaus College secondary teacher and coach said the boys were good ambassadors for the school, and their performance this year paved the way for successes in the next Confraternity Carnival.
"I am very proud of the way the team played and the way they bonded on and off the field," Mr Brechin said.
"They have represented Emmaus College very well.
"I am looking forward to next year's Confraternity Carnival hosted by St Laurence's College"
Emmaus College thanked the other teachers and sponsors who supported the team at the carnival.
