Each year Commonwealth Bank and national charity Schools Plus recognise educators across the country with the annual Commonwealth Bank Teaching Awards.
The 22 winners of this year's awards were selected from over 2000 nominees, and include teachers from Marsden, Browns Plains and Kingston.
Luke Schepen, Head of Community Investment at Commonwealth Bank, said those who had been presented with awards went "above and beyond" for their students.
"The Commonwealth Bank Teaching Awards recognise outstanding educators who go above and beyond to nurture young minds for a bright future," Mr Schepen said.
"Many of us will have fond memories of teachers who made a profound impact on our lives, encouraging us to achieve and prepare us for our future careers.
"We congratulate our 2022 Award recipients for their exceptional contribution to schools across the country."
This year, educators could win one of two awards, a $45,000 Teaching Fellowship to fund a strategic program within their school, or a $10,000 Early Career bursary to fund professional development.
Winners of the Teaching Fellowships include:
- Trent Cowley, Principal, Kingston State School
- Jenna Cullen, Head of Teaching and Learning, Marsden State High School
- Michael Hornby, Principal, Mable Park State High School
Early Career award winners include:
- Liudmyla Kovalev, Loganlea State High School
- Alys Tipler, Browns Plains State High School
Rosemary Conn, Chief Executive Officer of Schools Plus, said recognising the educators' outstanding efforts was important.
"We are delighted to celebrate these inspirational teachers, who share our commitment to addressing the education gap in areas of disadvantage, particularly over the past two challenging years," she said.
"Schools Plus is proud to support schools and teachers who have shown innovation, resilience and tireless commitment to their students."
