Some fresh faces have joined the ranks of Jimboomba Police station, and Constable Danika Saul is one of the newest among them.
Constable Saul joined the team in December 2021, and the Springwood native had nothing but good things to say about the her experiences in Jimboomba.
"I'm really excited to be here," she said.
"I wanted to be in Logan because it's very diverse."
The new officer said she joined the Police Service to serve the community.
"I was in an industry where I was able to help people, but not to the extent I can here," Constable Saul said.
This year's floods provided opportunities for Constable Saul to serve the community by the bucketload.
"Being put in a situation where I could help people so soon after leaving the academy was really cool," she said.
"Seeing people in need that we were able to help straight away and see the impact on their lives instantly was good.
"It's really nice to see we do actually make a difference to some people's lives."
Constable Saul said she was looking forward to a long career as a police officer, but was currently happy where she was.
"I'm happy to be on general duties, I'm enjoying interacting with different people on a daily basis," she said.
"There are other branches that I know help a lot behind the scenes, but right now I'm enjoying generals."
