THE Jimboomba Bushrangers division one side has successfully defended 161 to win a tight affair against Logan Village.
The top five Bushrangers batsmen all contributed, with Ash Hughes (44) and Steve Foulis (34) leading the way.
Jimboomba were 4/130 when Foulis departed, but the run scoring quickly dried up as the lower order failed to contribute.
Bushrangers opening bowlers Nathan Mackenzie and Jason Feeney bowled without any luck as the opposition took the score past 50.
Mitchell Thompson broke through for Jimboomba with the score on 63 before Craig Tatters (3/31) swung momentum with two wickets in two balls.
Rodney and Haydn Teese took five wickets between them to have Logan staring down the barrel of defeat at 9/120.
But a last wicket partnership began to develop, taking the match down to the last over.
A direct hit from Foulis ended the game, seeing Logan Village fall five runs short with just two balls remaining.
Only three batters notched double figures as the Jimboomba Bushrangers division two side were humbled in their derby clash with Yarrabilba on Saturday.
The match was moved to Glenlogan Park after heavy rain during the week scuppered any chance of play at Everdell Park.
Bushrangers opening bowlers Rob Lose and Roxanne Thomson made an impressive start, restricting the visitors to 4-41.
Thomson was the pick of Jimboomba's bowlers, claiming 3/28 as Yarrabilba posted a competitive 8/195 off 35 overs.
Lose and Phil Myors chimed in with two scalps each, while first change Declan Abberton finished with figures of 1/48.
Myors was the only Jimboomba batsman to find some rhythm at the crease during the run chase, as the side were bundled out inside 30 overs.
The in-form number three plundered 62 as wickets tumbled around him, with Abberton and Lose the only other batsman to score double figures.
Elsewhere, The Coolboys were way too strong for the Greenback/Waterford team, who were all out for a disappointing 156 to leave them winless this season.
