A Jimboomba teen was among a group of four who were denied entry to Queensland after returning from a NSW camping trip on Saturday morning.
Beaudesert Police Station's acting officer in charge Jon Kirkman said the car was stopped at the Palen Creek border crossing..
Senior Sergeant Kirkman said two 18-year-old men, an 18-year-old woman and a 15-year-old female were in the group.
"The teenagers were from Jimboomba, Kearney's Spring and Toowoomba," he said.
"All remain in NSW and will need to have a COVID vaccination before they get back in as well as quarantine for 14 days when they do.
Sergeant Kirkman said the group went to Carney's Creek and tried again but anyone who tried to cross the border was entered into the police reporting system, so the attempt was futile.
