POLICE handed a man a hefty fine after a disturbance outside the Logan Village Hotel on Saturday.
Police from Logan Village and Jimboomba were called to the venue about 12.30am when a fight broke out in the pub's carpark.
Police said about 10 people were involved in a scuffle shortly after closing time.
A Stockleigh man was given a $800 fine for disorderly behaviour, police said.
Paramedics were also called to the scene. They assessed one person for minor injuries, and treatment was not required, a QAS spokeswoman said.
Highway speedsters
POLICE are appealing for drivers to slow down after they caught a number of speeders last week.
Officers handed out seven tickets in the space of an hour on Saturday, in an 80km/h zone.
Officers said the speeders were all doing more than 100km/h.
"We are disappointed motorists aren't abiding by the reduced speed limit in road work areas, which are put in place to ensure the safety of construction workers as well as motorists travelling through the area," Acting Sergeant Lucas Collihole said.
