Man dies in motorcycle crash in Crestmead

A 35-year-old Park Ridge man died after colliding with a truck in Crestmead last night.

According to police preliminary investigations indicate around 7pm, a man on a black Yamaha motorcycle collided with a prime mover truck on the corner of Magnesium Drive and Radium Street.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesperson said paramedics including the critical care and high acuity response unit attended the scene.

"A male in his 30s was treated at the scene for critical injuries however despite best efforts of crews, he passed away.

"A second male patient was transported in a stable condition to Logan Hospital for precautionary measures," the spokesperson said.

The 52-year-old Flagstone truck driver was treated for shock.

The police forensic crash unit is investigating the case.
