ASPIRING young cooks can learn British celebrity chef Jamie Oliver's tips of the trade when Jamie's Ministry of Food classes return to Yarrabilba.
The classes, to be held at Yarrabilba State Secondary College, will take place over five days and will teach students aged 12 and up to cook some of Oliver's nutritious recipes.
The Good Foundation chief executive Siobhan Boyle said students would learn the basics of food, nutrition and cooking, as well as some of Oliver's tips and tricks.
"Participants will learn how to make meals from scratch, by baking, grilling, sautéing, boiling and roasting fresh ingredients," she said.
It comes after Ministry of Food went digital with online classes during COVID-19.
"Our food trainers are ready to step out from behind the webcam and welcome the next round of participants in our upcoming face-to-face classes," Ms Boyle said.
"The Yarrabilba community has always been extremely supportive and enthusiastic in response to our programs.
"We thank everyone who participated in our virtual classes and we look forward to resuming our face-to-face operations."
More than 19,000 Queenslanders have already participated in a Jamie's Ministry of Food program.
After the success of their virtual community hubs, classes will still be made available online to help Jamie's Ministry of Food reach as many Queenslanders as possible, including those in regional areas.
The program will run at Yarrabilba State Secondary College from January 11 to January 15.
