Leith Ladies beat Mel's Girls in the inaugural women's Last Man Stands match at Glenlogan Park on Sunday.
The Leith crew scored 79 from their 20 overs in the historic match, easily accounting for their opponents' 59.
Mel's Girls took the crease first in stifling 35 degree heat, and the openers got away to a good start.
Kate Chesterfield scored 13 and Leanne Mantann 10, before retiring.
Kylie Stace scored 7 and Mel Turbill 9 before they too retired.
Good innings from Janelle Luck lived up to her last name to make 11, and Vienna Page made 10.
Leith's Ladies' reply was always going to be strong.
Jacqui Page smacked three boundaries and a six to top score with 22. She also took player of the match honours.
Jessica Blachut scored 13 and Celine Crellin put on 10.
Bella Innes made 16 and Kristi Lyons also scored 10.
The next women's match is on December 6, with a 9am start to beat the heat.
