A young male brushtail possum was fortunate yesterday after he wandered into a bowling alley at Aspley and chose the wrong place for a nap.

A staff member discovered him asleep in the pin machine just before she turned it on and immediately called the RSPCA.
RSPCA spokesman Michael Beatty said that when RSPCA Ambulance Officer Chantel Sibilla arrived she found he was trapped.
"But eventually she was able to free him from between the pins and take him to RSPCA Queensland's Wildlife Hospital at Wacol," he said.
"Luckily he's going to be OK but at the moment is still a very scared but lucky possum."
Possums are all over the place, even in the middle of the biggest cities. Somewhere not too far away, there will be a possum.
The state Environment Department says ringtail or brushtail possums are among the most versatile and adaptable of Australia's marsupials.
They live much of their lives in the suburbs, and even under our roofs.
At night they emerge from their dens and dreys and crisscross their suburban territories in search of food.
They clamber over rooftops, through trees, and along powerlines and fences, avoiding the ground where they risk dog attack or being hit by a car.
