Jimboomba Bushrangers president Rodney Teese was poised to make a big score on Saturday when rain interrupted the club's second division Gold match at Glenlogan Park No.2.
Teese, who had opened the batting, had found the boundary seven times on his way to 32 from 22 balls before a storm forced the players from the field.
Teese had rescued his team, taking them to 3-50 when the match was abandoned.
The Bushrangers had been in early trouble after losing three quick wickets against Springfield, despite choosing to bat first when skipper Jason Feeney won the toss.
Jason Hart had been caught for 6, while Scott Leach was run out for 1 after a mix up with Teese.
Shannon White was bowled for 2.
Roxanne Thompson was 3 not out.
The Bushrangers had Beenleigh Pirates 3-88 at Dauth Park when the rain hit.
Corey Schofield had taken two wickets for the Pirates, and Ben Sweeney before the game was abandoned in the 19th over.
The Pirates had won the toss and chosen to bat.
The club's first grade team had Logan Village 1-21 at Glenlogan No.1.
The match was abandoned in the 19th over, after Tom Jellie lost the toss and the team was asked to bowl.
Two Bushrangers teams are at home next weekend, as first grade hosts Loganholme while Division 2's Green team faces Greenbank.
The Gold team has the bye.
