Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium will apply to host the 2027 Women's World Cup in a joint bid, the German football federation (DFB) says.
The DFB said that Germany had joined the Dutch bid to host the tournament, and would work alongside the Dutch Football Association (KNVB) and the Belgian Football Association (RBFA).
"Following (the men's) UEFA EURO 2024 in Germany, the Women's World Cup 2027 would be another highlight in the history of football," DFB chief Fritz Keller said.
If the bid is successful, it would be the second time Germany had hosted the global women's tournament after 2011.
The 2023 edition is in Australia and New Zealand.
It is not yet decided when the 2027 event will be awarded by world football governing body FIFA.
The three federations, according to the DFB, have already presented plans for the tournament to FIFA and European body UEFA.
Further discussions should take place before the end of the year and the selection process for potential host cities will then begin.
The Netherlands, which hosted the men's Euro 2000 together with Belgium and the women's 2017 Euros on their own, had sought partners for the World Cup bid.
"We are following the wish of our Dutch colleagues with great pleasure and will enter this project with full strength out of full conviction," Keller said.
