Logan City councillors were thrown into darkness as a power outage hits their general meeting this morning.
The blackout affected Logan Entertainment Centre and more than 500 customers in the area, Energex said.
It hit the general council meeting which was due to get underway at 10am.
The building went dark before the meeting had started.
It has been adjourned until 9am tomorrow.
"They had a back-up generator but there was a fuse box issue," Division 9 councillor Scott Bannan said.
"It's the quietest meeting I've ever had."
Customers in Berrinba, Karawatha, Kingston, Logan Central and Woodridge were affected.
Crews were working to restore power.
An Energex spokesman said the cause of the outage which affected the Woodridge sub-station was unknown.
It originally affected 1075 homes and businesses when the power went out at 9.48am.
Half the customers had power restored by 10.27am, the spokesman said, with the remainder having power restored by 11.30am.
