A notorious Jimboomba intersection will be upgraded next year.
A turning lane and improved lighting will be installed at the corner of Camp Cable Road and Edelsten Road in work which will begin in mid-2021.
There will also be more room for cars to avoid an accident should a driver make a mistake, Logan MP Linus Power said.
"If they make a mis-judgement, the extra space from the wide centre line marking means there will be a gap between them and the traffic," he said.
The T-intersection, which locals call one of the worst in the area, has been the scene of a string of serious accidents over the years.
Paramedics treated a man for a suspected spinal injury in one of the latest incidents last month.
A teenager was also treated at the scene after the crash on Sepember 14.
Two elderly patients were treated on June 11 after an accident at the same corner.
A third declined treatment, the Queensland Ambulance Service said.
Three paramedic crews, including a critical care paramedic, were sent to the two-vehicle smash.
Mr Power said he hoped such accidents would be history with the work at the junction.
"I am really pleased to announce we are doing that work - there is a concern for that intersection," he said.
Mr Power, who will take on Liberals' Clinton Pattison and Greens' Liam Jenkinson for the Logan seat on October 31, said he would keep fighting for the road upgrades.
Camp Cable Road has long been a concern for residents, who have called for a hard shoulder to be installed to help them entering and leaving their properties.
They say driver impatience, where cars tailgate residents making the turn into their driveways, is the main source of danger on the stretch.
The busy link road carries more traffic as Yarrabilba's population grows.
With roadwork on the Mount Lindesay Highway north of Jimboomba, it also serves as a detour, as motorists turn onto it, then Edelsten, to take them south to Mundoolun.
"I'll continue to push for Camp Cable Road improvements," Mr Power said.
"It is a vital east-west link in southern Logan."
It comes as paramedics urge vigilance among drivers as school returns.
So far in 2020, 190 people have lost their lives on roads in the south-eastern and Brisbane policing districts.
That is a 51 per cent increase on the same point in 2019 and just a 3.8 per cent decrease on the year before.
