An aspiring Buccan songstress used a forced break from performing to record her new single on a shoestring budget.
Angie Grace wrote Lil Community while holed up at home during the COVID-19 pandemic, after it first came into her head during a beach side holiday.
The break from playing live gigs meant Angie had time to develop the song from its initial idea to a finished track.
A $500 grant helped her pay for its recording at Aldergrove Studios in Chapel Hill, Brisbane.
The 17-year-old raised a further $500 to cut it, with recording and production taking about four hours.
Angie said the song paid tribute to people in her life.
"I am fascinated by people and relationships," Angie said.
"We each have the ability to touch other people's lives with our actions.
"Lil' Community is my interpretation of finding pleasure in small acts of kindness and one good deed deserving another."
The inspiration behind the song also helped her see it come to life.
The Beenleigh Historical Village, the Village Green Theatre Company, local cinematographers White Bug Film Company, friends and family helped with the clip.
"I am very grateful to our little community for getting behind me to make this music video possible," Angie said.
"We all had heaps of fun producing it and I learned so much along the way.
"This production really couldn't have happened without the tremendous support I received from the BEMAC, the Beenleigh Historical Village and The Village Green Theatre Group."
The film clip for the song will be live on her Youtube channel on September 15.
The Canterbury College student wants to follow it up with another single, but for now, she is concentrating on studying.
Music is never too far from Angie's thoughts.
"I'm already planning my follow up single," she said.
Her musical inspirations include Frank Sinatra, Billy Joel, the Beatles, Ed Sheeran and Harry Styles.
Angie's rendition the classic Fly Me to the Moon, made famous by Sinatra in 1964, is a regular crowd favourite when she includes it at gigs across Logan.
The song is available on Apple Music and Spotify.
