Logan suburbs are again in the COVID-19 spotlight with contact tracing underway after an outbreak at the Brisbane Youth Detention Centre.
Browns Plains, Greenbank, Slacks Creek, Marsden and Crestmead locations are on the list released by the government after the outbreak at the youth centre.
The list includes the busy Browns Plains Grand Plaza, where an infected person visited Woolworths on August 9, 10 and 19. An infected person also went to Coles on August 14 and 16, and Kmart on August 15.
Greenbank Takeaway was named on the list twice, with a case visiting the shop between 5.30pm and 5.40pm on August 10, and 6.30pm and 6.40pm on August 17.
The business' owners took to social media on the weekend to inform customers.
"Metro Health has advised the risk is low, but we want to ensure you all that we are taking all precautions," a statement said.
"We've done a deep clean of the shop and sanitised all areas that customers come into contact with.
"We have removed tables from out the front as no dining is available. All staff are well and show no symptoms of illness and are well aware to isolate and be tested should any arise."
It comes after an outbreak at Parklands Christian College last month, which sent locals to testing centres.
Chief Health Officer Jeanette Young said people with symptoms should be prioritised for testing.
"We know from our recent experience in and around Logan that a lot of people who came forward indicated they did not have any symptoms," she said. "I understand and appreciate their willingness to get tested.
"But please, if you don't have symptoms, keep the path clear so we can test people who do first."
Dr Young said mask-wearing would not be mandated but was recommended.
"I don't believe we have broad-spread community transmission, but certainly we're in a risky period," she said. "Social distancing ... is far more effective than a mask (but) if you're in a crowded situation that you can't get out of, put a mask on."
