SCENIC Rim, Logan and the Redlands could be in for a soggy Saturday as temperatures are set to rise in coming days, says the Bureau of Meteorology.
BOM meteorologist Peter Markworth said warmer temperatures and a trough moving west across the south-east starting tomorrow could bring thunderstorms in the early afternoon on Saturday.
"Saturday looks like the main day for rainfall, likely to drop 10 to 20mm on the Darling Downs and 5 to 15mm across south-east Queensland," he said.
"Depending on thunderstorms, some locations may have higher rainfalls."
Mr Markworth said the warmer days were not expected to last.
"We expect a brief burst of cooler air and about Monday the temperatures will rise again to average, with warmer than average temperatures from Tuesday," he said.
