A new primary school at Greenbank will be a win for the community's students and parents, according to the property group involved.
Mirvac will contribute about $11 million to the build of the school, which will sit in the group's Everleigh master-planned community, and open in 2022.
Mirvac's residential development Queensland general manager Warwick Bible said the organisation was thrilled to be involved.
Mr Bible's comments came after the government's announcement of the school yesterday.
"We are extremely excited to be part of this important chapter for Everleigh and the broader Greenbank and surrounding communities," he said.
"The new school is located within one of the fastest growing regions in Queensland and has been high on the agenda for families for many years, so having an official opening date is certainly a big step forward.
"We can't wait to see the new school take shape over the coming years."
Mirvac's contribution includes the civil works for the completed serviced site and the eastern road frontage.
The company has started a nine-month build for the serviced school site.
