Last Man Stands cricket returned to the pitch on Saturday for practice matches ahead of the competition starting next weekend.
Test Eagles and Beauy Bucheurs were the winners on the day in two matches played at Glenlogan Park.
Test Eagles, a new side in the competition, beat Purple People Eaters by 23 runs in the first match.
The Test Eagles batted first, making 6-115 from their 20 overs.
Dylan Goodison made 42 from 37 balls and Michael Cullen 30 from 23, with Steven Kuhnke's 2-13 from three overs the highlight for the Purple People Eaters.
In reply Purple People Eaters were dismissed for 92.
Cullen ripped through the middle order, claiming 4-14 and Player of the Match Honours.
Shane Harris picked up 2-20.
Colin Ginn was the Purple People Eaters' best, with 30 from 23 balls.
The Bucheurs beat Hit and Run by three wickets in the other match.
Hit and Run took to the crease first and could only scrape together 98 runs from their 20 overs, as the Bucheurs bowlers did well to restrict the batsmen.
Matt Turbill took the keeper's gloves off and bagged 3-5 from his only over, as Hit and Run tried to go the slog.
Turbill said luck was on his side as his effort to bowl straight worked wonders.
Stu Beadel bagged 2-17 from four overs and Josh Browning 2-14 from three overs. Shaun Harkin top scored with 23 runs.
Chasing a small target was made easier when Daniel Lake opening the innings plundered his way to 28 from 14 balls and Sammy Matthews looking like he didn't have three months off with 57 from 45 balls.
Greg Wilkie was the best with the ball for Hit and Run, taking 3-27 from his four overs.
Beauy Bucheurs winning by three wickets.
The winter competition starts on Sunday, with 15 teams ready to play in two divisions.
It is up from six teams last season, and the winner of this season's division 1 final will receive sponsored entry to this year's LMS Australian Championship, which will be played in September at Runaway Bay.
Clarke's OAM honour
