Queensland Police have confirmed a man died in this morning's accident on the Mount Lindesay Highway at Tamrookum.
The man, a 74-year-old, died when the motorcycle he was riding struck the back of a north-bound car at the Logan River Williams Bridge, between Round Mountain Road and Christmas Creek Road.
He was pronounced dead at the scene at about 10.45am.
Initial reports suggest the car had stopped near the entrance to the bridge to allow a south-bound truck to cross.
Forensic Crash Unit are still investigating.
12pm MONDAY
The Forensic Crash Unit is at the scene of a serious accident which has closed the Mount Lindesay Highway.
A patient suffered critical injuries in the accident between a motorcycle and another vehicle.
One ambulance crew attended the scene to treat the patient.

A serious accident has closed the Mount Lindesay Highway at Laravale.
According to Queensland Traffic the crash is near Echo Hills Road and diversions are in place.
Police and paramedics are on scene, and drivers are being told to turn around as traffic is backing up.
