Opportunistic thieves have targeted shipping containers, construction sites and residential sheds across Logan, and police have urged residents to lock up.
Officers say enter with intent offences are on the rise, and thieves are targeting power tools, equipment and home appliances.
"Crime prevention is everyone's responsibility and we ask you to ensure you lock up and look out," a police spokesman said.
"There are often typical circumstances which occur prior to a premise being burgled.
"A burglar will usually look for easy or tempting opportunities, especially when it is evident no one is home or the risk of being caught is low.
"You can take steps to reduce identified risk areas in your premise and reduce the likelihood of becoming a victim of crime or a repeat victim of crime."
He urged people to lock their homes and businesses, and hide valuables from sight.
Extra steps can also be taken.
"We recommend that you implement security measures which may include lighting or cameras," the spokesman said.
