Emmaus College students got on the barbecue to cook pancakes and kick off Lent this week, while raising money at the same time.
The Jimboomba college's Year 12 students cooked about 1500 pancakes for classmates and teachers.
The college used the day to raise funds for St John's Crisis Centre at Surfers Paradise.
