A garden waste bin service could be available for Jimboomba residents next year as Logan City Council negotiates the terms of a new collection agreement.
The council has chosen the provider, who cannot be named due to the in-confidence arrangement.
The council began accepting tenders for the service last year.
Interim administrator Tamara O'Shea said council was working out the terms of the new agreement.
"Council's waste and recycling collection service has consistently been rated as a service of high importance and high satisfaction by the Logan community," she said.
"It is one of council's highest value services contracts, with a contract period of up to 10 years.
"Depending on the future service options that the next council chooses to offer, this contract could be worth approximately $150 million over 10 years.

"This entire tender process was done under the under the supervision of a probity auditor and I am confident the council has secured a quality outcome."
She said the next contract included an option to introduce a garden waste bin service in addition to the provision of waste and recycling collection.
There will be no changes to waste and recycling collection services.
The resolution to continue negotiating with the preferred applicant was passed at today's council meeting.
Council's current contract with JJ Richards & Sons expires in June 2021.
