GLENEAGLE master farrier Steve Costin and his wife Camille are taking part in the Ipswich Toy Run on December 8 and are appealing to Beaudesert residents to chip in a present or two for disadvantaged kids.
Mr Costin recently made the news after inventing and perfecting a plastic horseshoe, which is now being used all over the world.
The Costins said they took part in the Ipswich Toy Run every year, delivering toys to be distributed by the Salvation Army.
The event sees up to 800 riders traveling along the streets of Ipswich with bikes adorned with toys for underprivileged children.
Ms Costin said the event was always fun, with plenty of people cheering them along the way but the focus was on bringing some joy to underprivileged children.
"It is so much fun and we always get dressed up as Santa and elves for the ride," she said.
"We are hoping to take toys donated by the Beaudesert community when we make the ride next Sunday."
Ms Costin said donations could be dropped off at Beaudesert Rural Supplies on Helen Street by Friday, December 6.
