GREENBANK State School will go into next year with a new lease on life after a team of volunteers donated plants, mulch, tools and labour to spruce up the school.
The team effort involved Mirvac, Evolve Environmental, Eureka Landscapes, Enriching Communities Greenbank and a local resident, who rolled up their sleeves to give the school a facelift.
Tube Stock nurseries provided 200 plants while Connect Truckers donated 30 cubic metres of mulch.
Mirvac Residential Development Queensland general manager Warwick Bible said this was the second consecutive year the developer donated time and materials to benefit Greenbank State School.
"We received really positive feedback from Greenbank State School after our efforts last year and are really excited to contribute again," Mr Bible said.
"This year we supported the school with projects they already had underway, including painting, planting native vegetation and mulching, with the help of a number of our contractors and other community members.
"The school told us last year's activities triggered numerous other gardening projects by students and teachers, so it is rewarding to know our efforts can be a catalyst for even bigger outcomes for the local school - and broader community."
