AFTER a terrifying Saturday night on some of the Scenic Rim fire fronts, most fire alerts had been downgraded by Sunday morning.
A QFES spokeswoman said about 100 fire crews are currently deployed across Queensland with 16 homes lost and 33 incidents of firefighters injured.
Scenic Rim fires are currently at "Watch and Act" or :"Advice" level and updates include:
Tarome
UPDATE, 8.45am Monday
QFES advises the fire burning west of Tarome is still active and conditions could get worse.
Residents are urged to be ready to initiate their bushfire survival plans or be prepared to leave the area.
At 8.45am Monday the unpredictable fire was moving east towards Tarome.
It is likely to impact Ryan Road, Hinrichsen Road, Simmonds Road, Campsite Road and McGuire Road.
Fire crews are working to contain the fire but firefighters may not be able to protect every property.
You should not expect a firefighter at your door.People in the area will be affected by smoke, which will reduce visibility and air quality.
Those self-evacuating the area should travel east on Tarome Road, towards Kalbar.
Call Triple Zero (000) immediately if you believe your property is under threat.

Queensland Fire and Emergency Services has upgraded the alert level for the bushfire to the west of Tarome as conditions are getting worse.
The advice is to follow your bushfire survival plan now. If you do not have a plan, your safest option is to leave now if it is clear to do so.
If you are not in the area, do not return, as conditions are too dangerous.
At 3.20pm the large, unpredictable fire was travelling in an easterly direction towards Tarome.
It is expected to impact Ryan Road, Hinrichsen Road, Simmonds Road and Tarome Road.
The fire could have a significant impact on the community.
Fire crews are working to contain the fire but firefighters may not be able to protect every property.
You should not expect a firefighter at your door.
Power, water, and mobile phone service may be lost.
People in the area will be affected by smoke, which will reduce visibility and air quality.
Those leaving the area should travel east on Tarome Road and head to Kalbar.

At 11am a large, unpredictable fire was continuing to travel from the Cunningham Highway towards Ryan Road, Hinrichsen Road, Simmonds Road and Tarome Road.
The fire is likely to impact Ryan Road, Hinrichsen Road and Simmonds Road, in the vicinity of the Bluff near Tarome Road.
Due to severe fire danger today, conditions could change quickly so residents should remain up-to-date with warnings.
Ground crews, with the assistance of waterbombing aircraft and heavy machinery, are working to contain the fire, but may not be able to protect every property.
Earlier, 5.50am
THE bushfire in Tarome is still active and QFES advises conditions could get worse.
At 5.50am today the large, slow-moving fire was continuing to travel from the Cunningham Highway towards Ryan Road, Hinrichsen Road, Simmonds Road and Tarome Road.
The fire is likely to impact Ryan Road, Hinrichsen Road and Simmonds Road, in the vicinity of the Bluff near Tarome Road.
Ground crews, with the assistance of heavy machinery, are working to contain the fire, but may not be able to protect every property.
The Cunningham Highway is closed between Lake Moogerah Road and the top of The Gap due to this fire.

QFES advises there is a bushfire in Clumber and Moogerah.
You need to keep up to date and decide what actions you will take if the situation changes.
At 5.10pm a bushfire was burning in the vicinity of Lake Moogerah Road, Spicers Gap Road and the Cunningham Highway, Clumber, including Boyle Road.
Fire crews are working to contain the fire.
People in the area will be affected by smoke, which will reduce visibility and air quality.

Tregony

THE bushfire at Tregony is still active and conditions could get worse.
QFES advises to be ready to follow your bushfire survival plan.
If you do not have a plan, or intend to leave, you should be ready to leave the area because the situation could get worse quickly.
At 11am the large fire was moving from the Spicers Peak Nature Reserve in a westerly direction towards Maryvale and Upper Freestone.
Currently there are no properties under direct threat, and residents who have evacuated can return to their homes, however they are advised that due to severe fire danger today, they should be prepared to leave again as the situation could change quickly.
Fire crews will continue to work with waterbombing aircraft and heavy machinery throughout the day, but firefighters may not be able to protect every property.
Mount Lindesay

Yesterday at 6.50pm this fire had picked up speed and was moving unpredictably, with QFES issuing a warning for residents to seek shelter because it had become too dangerous for people to leave.
Firefighters worked overnight to contain the fire.
At 5.45am today the bushfire was burning within containment lines in the vicinity of Hardgrave Road, Mount Lindesay.
Fire crews will continue to patrol the area throughout the day.
Tragony

QFES issued a Leave Now alert at 6pm yesterday.
At 6am Sunday QFES advised the large fire was continuing to travel in a westerly direction towards areas east of Spicers Gap Road along the Cunningham Highway.
Residents who had evacuated were able to return to their homes but were advised to be prepared to leave again as the situation could change quickly.
Fire crews will continue to patrol the area throughout the day but firefighters may not be able to protect every property.
Palen Creek

Spicers Peak

At 5.55am the slow-moving bushfire was burning near Spicers Gap and moving south towards Spicers Peak Lodge.
The fire was not directly impacting properties at that time but QFES advised conditions could change quickly and those who had not already left, should be ready to leave.
Fire crews will continue to patrol the area throughout the day.
Residents are reminded the Cunningham Highway remains closed at Cunninghams Gap due to this fire.
