LOGAN City's floral emblem will be recreated as part of Queensland Mental Health Week 2019.
Five patients from the Metro South Mental Health and Addiction Services will create the emblem, which features the local banksia integrifolia tree, using chicken wire and flowers.
The sculpture will be the centrepiece of Mental Health Week activities at the Logan Hospital Takes Time for Mental Health event on Thursday, October 10.
Activities like tai chi, music and a drumming circle will run from 10am to 2pm and are open to the public.
Council officers will join health care providers and well-being organisation representatives at the hospital entrance to provide information on well-being programs such as Live Well Logan and Move it Logan.
Information about mental well-being and how to understand mental illness and access services will also be available.
The hospital is located at Loganlea Rd, Meadowbrook.
