ARTISTS, musicians and special guests were treated to a sample of the creative delights to feature in this week's Arts Ablaze conference and festival last night.
The pre-event cocktail party was held on the grounds of Bromelton House where an exhibition of works by local artists was opened to the public this morning.
Mununjali elders attended the event, with the Ngari dancers opening the festivities and Auntie Geraldine Page offering the Welcome to Country.
Greg Christensen spoke about the importance of the arts in Scenic Rim life and invited all in attendance to enjoy the conference and the natural beauty of the venue at Kooralbyn.
Guests enjoyed drinks on the lawn with the projection art of renowned artist Craig Walsh showing faces of Beaudesert's Indigenous community high in a tree and music provided by Opera Eagles Nest and the Music Doctors.
The conference continues until Sunday, with the weekend program open for free entry to the public.
