The team at J1 Dental take the time to educate patients and help make it as affordable as possible to have good teeth.
Each new patient is allocated an hour minimum for their first examination at a set cost regardless of the number of photos, x-rays or tests needed.
"This allows the time to ask all your questions and get a thorough custom treatment plan without the financial burden," dentist Camelia Maris said.
However, Camelia explained that good dentistry isn't cheap and cheap dentistry isn't good.
For example, she gives two options for a simple 'broken tooth'.
- Replace the broken tooth/filling with a stronger helmet like filling called a crown that will last 10+ years and cost approximately $1500 or
- Patch just the broken part for around $200- expect future breakage
"More often than not, finances only allow for option number two," Camelia said.
But something that originally looked like the fast and cheap option can quickly become just as expensive as the original more expensive but longer lasting solution.

"If you find yourself stuck in the repeating cycle of broken teeth needing filling every six or so months, consider investing a little extra into them initially and you could find that this saves you money in the future.
"The reality is that nothing in dentistry lasts forever and the best approach to dentistry is to be preventative."
