FLAGSTONE'S high school students took advantage of a rare opportunity to explore future career options today.
The Flagstone State Community College Career Expo featured 32 stall holders representing universities, emergency services, trades, military, hospitality and other industries.
Senior School Engagement head of department Jennifer Krause said the Career Expo gave students face-time with industry experts who have practical experience in relevant fields.
"Stallholders always came to me after the expo and say the kids ask really good questions," she said.
"We have been lucky enough to have kids offered trainee-ships from this expo because they made such a good impression.
"A lot of students unsure about university walk out of the expo feeling good about their choices because they spoke to a graduate face-to-face."
Flagstone State Community College students registered a mixed interest in both university and vocational pathways.
The Career Expo was open to students in years 10, 11 and 12, and some junior students.
