MEMBERS of Greenbank's 50 Plus Club will be putting their thinking hats on as National Seniors Week approaches.
With support from Enriching Communities Greenbank and Mirvac, the community group will take part in a special trivia session on Tuesday, August 20 from 10am at the Greenbank Community Centre.
The hour long session will feature an entertainer who will test the group's general knowledge with prizes up for grabs.
Greenbank 50 plus club president Carol Kuhl said the group's members loved trivia.
"We have found a lot of older people often feel overlooked and unappreciated so it is good to have somewhere they can meet people and talk," she said.
"It is a nice place to form friendships."
Enriching Communities Greenbank community engagement manager Suzanne Guastini said the initiative was about celebrating National Seniors Week and giving back to the community.
The Greenbank 50 Plus club welcomes new members and meets at the Greenbank Community Centre at 10am on Tuesdays, except for the first of every month.
National Seniors Week runs from August 12 to 25.
Non-members of Greenbank's 50 Plus club can register for the event by emailing suzanne@enrichingcommunities.com.au or call 0447 872 382.
