OLLEY'S shoppers will no longer be able to directly access St Aldwyn Road via the Mount Lindesay Highway when work to build a road culvert starts in on June 18.
The work is required to improve the road's resistance to flooding.
Motorists travelling from Jimboomba will be required to take the Chambers Flat Road exit on the Mount Lindesay Highway and turn right onto a new service road which was built as part of a $20 million upgrade to the North Maclean stretch of the highway.
Southbound traffic from Park Ridge to Jimboomba will be temporarily diverted onto the service road until late 2019.
Motorists leaving Olley's can follow the service road to Jimboomba and merge into southbound traffic back onto the Mount Lindesay Highway.
Logan MP Linus Power said it was important for people to be aware of the new route well in advance of work taking place.
"I know that road construction, while vital, can be really disruptive to businesses so I want as many people as possible to understand, think ahead and plan how they get to Olley's and not change their patterns of behaviour," he said.
The direct turn from the Mount Lindesay Highway into St Aldwyn Road will be permanently closed.
