A free health seminar this month at Logan Metro Sports and Events Centre will focus on chronic illness.
InSports Logan physiologist Brent Nicol said the Crestmead centre would host the seminar from 5.30pm on Friday, May 31.
Mr Nicol said the seminar was aimed at educating people diagnosed with any chronic health condition on what that meant and what they could do about it.
"There will be discussion around what makes a condition chronic and what it means from a healthcare perspective such as Medicare, NDIS and other funding," he said.
"We will also discuss how to select the right allied health practitioner to assist with your chronic health management plan."
Mr Nicol said the benefits of exercise in treating chronic pain, disability or illness would also be covered.
"We will be highlighting the Logan City Council services and programs designed to overcome barriers to engaging in physical activity such as time, location and cost."
The seminar is open to everyone.
Bookings are essential and can be made by calling 3412 5952.
