THE sun was shining bright on Monday morning as more than 400 students completed the Inter House Cross Country Carnival on Monday morning.
Three days of sustained stormy weather left wet patches on parts of the oval which failed to dampen the spirits of students donning their house colours.
Members of Logan, Lindesay, Flinders and Henderson House cheered for their peers as they approached the finish line.
Physical Education teacher Jessie Vudrag said students ran through the oval and school to complete the track as the cow paddock was not available this year.
"I was praying for the rain not to stop the carnival," Ms Vudrag said.
"Kids have been extra careful with the footing and wetness."
Results from the cross country event are expected to be released later in the week.
Last year, the cross country event was won by Logan house followed by Flinders, Lindesay and Henderson.
