FLAGSTONE State School's first Twilight Market is fast approaching.
Flagstone State School P&C vice president Kareen Duncan said the event on Saturday, March 23, starting at 5pm, would be an opportunity for the school community to browse trash and treasure market stalls, grab a treat to eat and enjoy live entertainment.
“We aim to cultivate a family atmosphere where people can meet, socialise, eat out, browse stalls, be entertained all in a convenient location,” she said.
“There has been overwhelming calls from the community to have an event like this and lots have made an effort but have lacked the support of vendors and patrons."
The Twilight Markets will take on a similar format to Logan City Council's Eats and Beats food truck event with a mix of market stalls and car boot sales.
Flagstone State School P&C president Jennifer Noordzy said there had been an overwhelming response to the initiative.
"We have secured over ten food vendors selling a mix of savoury, sweet and beverages. We have a great line up of entertainment on stage," she said.
The Flagstone State School choir and local singers Caitlin Jade and Hannah Grace will entertain the crowd.
There will be a petting zoo, jumping castle, face painting and a car display.
Ms Duncan thanked developer PEET, Cr Trevina Schwarz and Scenic Rim Adventure Park for supporting the event.
