POLICE recovered $3000 worth of tools reported stolen from the back of a Logan tradie’s ute.
The victim reported the theft to police on Friday, Febraury 15, while parked at Slacks Creek.
Two days later, police searched a Chermside address and charged a man with a stealing offence.
One of the alleged stolen tools was found at the address.
Police later found all of the alleged stolen tools at a Hillcrest address.
Senior Constable Jenny Wallis said police have informed the tradie that all his tools were recovered.
“Nothing makes police smile more than being able to give victims a positive outcome like this,” she said.
“Police would like to take this opportunity to remind all tradies to lock up your tools.”
The man charged with one count of stealing is due to appear at Brisbane Magistrates Court on March 18.
