THE Emmaus College Twilight Swimming Carnival was held at Beaudesert Pool on Wednesday, February 13.
Students took the opportunity to cool down at the end of the day with temperatures peaking at 38 degrees.
Consistent with the event’s Australian theme, there were inflatable kangaroos, board shorts and a sea of cork hats at the venue.
Swimmers chose to participate in either 25 metre events for fun or 50 metre events to secure points towards the age champion medal.
Several students in years seven to 12 won selection to compete at the South East Catholic Association Swimming Carnival at the Sleeman Sports Complex on March 13.
The event started at 5pm and continued until 8pm.
Parents, staff and volunteers supported the successful event.
