A 44-year-old man has been charged with 174 counts of stealing following an investigation into the theft of water meters from buildings in the Logan area.
Police allege the water meters were stolen and sold as scrap metal.
A Queensland Police Service spokesperson said it was estimated that about $10,000 worth of meters were sold over two years.
The man was arrested on Friday, January 11.
It was alleged the man had water meters in his possession at the time of arrest.
He appeared in Beenleigh Magistrates Court on Monday, January 14.
