THOUSANDS of families have turned in a warm up for the festive season at Christmas carol events celebrations staged across the city yesterday.
Logan Village Green operators, their friends and families turned out for Christmas carols at Logan Village Museum yesterday.
It was a small intimate event, held in the shade beneath trees near historic Logan Village Museum. Carolling was led by local favourite Sam Hunter, dressed in his kilt and accompanied by his pup Nellie. Santa popped in for visit.
Flagstone made an early call, cancelling its event as Queensland braced itself for the arrival of Cyclone Owen on Friday, but Mundoolun Community Association went ahead with its Saturday event as planned.
So did Logan City, with thousands upon thousands turning out to fill the courtyard at Griffith University’s Logan Campus at Meadowbrook.
