DIVISION one Jimboomba Green batsmen took advantage of favourable conditions on day two to clinch victory against the Springwood Suns on Sunday.
The two teams had a slow start to day one at Homestead Park with the ball darting off the pitch to the bowler’s advantage.
Only two runs separated Jimboomba and Springfield at the end of day one with Springwood 9/118 and Jimboomba 10/120.
Jimboomba batsman Kim Watson scored a half-century on day two with a hard pitch guiding him to a methodical 54 runs.
Joey Plater and Tom Jellie followed up this batting achievement with 37 and 36 runs respectively.
Bowlers Will Goss 3/33 and Nathan McKenzie 3/48 did not disappoint with the ball with a reliable and economical 12 overs each.
Jimboomba led at the end of day two with a 62-run lead.
Division two
JIMBOOMBA Green opening batsmen Shannon White and Rodney Teese smashed a 50 run partnership against Bethania in just six overs.
The batting duo scored freely until poor running between wickets led to White being run out for 28.
The following four overs were difficult for Jimboomba after losing two wickets in quick succession and scoring 16 runs for a score 3-66 in 10 overs.
Sean Mackay (88) and Ty Avery (76 not out) got Jimboomba back on track with an impressive 160 run partnership.
Mackay dominated with the bat in an innings with 15 boundaries and one six.
Jimboomba bowlers went on to restrict Betania to a double digit batting total after scoring a respectable total of 2/261.

Ben Holly caused headaches for Bethania with three early wickets leaving them 3/13 after eight overs.
Jimboomba bowlers Adrian Whatmore (2/5), Phil Walsh (2/22) and Roderick Stevens (2/22) left Bethania with no chance of catching up with a score of 8/97 after 35 overs.
Division four
THE Jimboomba division four juniors had a tough day with the bat against Beaudesert over the weekend at Pioneer Park.
Jimboomba elected to bowl after winning the toss with Nash Benstead (2/10), Mateo Chizziniti (1/8) and Liam Clarke (1/10) in good form.
Beaudesert defended a total of 6/91 and restricted Jimboomba to 7/51.
Jimboomba batsmen Keith Henley, Jasiah Thompson and Tristan Van Hout top scored with nine runs each.
